The executive leadership of BIT International was forming through July and August of 2020, with a “trial” board meeting on August 6, 2020.

In that meeting, the logo for BIT International was confirmed and Greg Greenlee identified several funds that were received by BIT Foundation which were to be transferred to BIT International.

Identification of money to transfer to BIT International, which was never transferred.

The Agreement Not to Compete

BIT International was created to replace BIT Foundation, and there was an agreement not to compete. Greg Greenlee agreed on August 6, 2020, as he had before, that BIT Foundation would be closed and would not compete with BIT International.

Disaster Occurs

On Tuesday August 18, 2020, at 7:36 am CST, the morning of the first board meeting, Dennis Schultz from New York sent a defamatory email to all Directors and Chapter leaders. The night before sending, Greg Greenlee told Schultz, “all good my way.”

That email led to a split of group – with many leaders leaving BIT International and Peter Beasley to form under Dennis Schultz and Greg Greenlee with BIT Foundation.

Litigation Ensues

On September 30, 2020, BIT International sued for damages and in the interm, stopped using the name BIT International pending disposition in court.

On March 11, 2025, BIT, LLC and Greg Greenlee nonsuited their infringement claim, with prejudice, allowing BIT International to continue using the name.
